REVIEW PROCESS

All manuscripts undergo review by an editor, members of the Editorial Board or an appropriate sourcing reviewer. The preliminary review report will be return to the submitting author within four (04) weeks after initial submission.

OFFPRINTS AND REPRINTS

Offprints and reprints of selected articles and whole journals can be ordered at any time. Please contact [email protected] for information on processing time and fees.  Electronic proofs will be sent (e-mail attachment) to the corresponding author as a PDF file.  Page proofs are considered to be the final version of the manuscript. With the exception of typographical or minor clerical errors, no changes will be made in the manuscript at the proof stage. Authors can freely download the PDF to print unlimited copies of their articles.

By submitting a manuscript for publication you warrant that the submitted research has not been published before (except as an abstract or as part of a published lecture, or thesis) and that it is not under review for publication elsewhere.
In case of acceptance and publication on Journal Academica you agree further, that the copyright is irrevocably transferred to Journal Academica Foundation.

FORMAT

Manuscripts must be submitted in either DOC, DOCX, RTF, ODF or PAGES, double-spaced (including footnotes), and on one side of 8½” x 11″ or A4 bond paper with 1″ or 3 cm margins all around and numbered. An abstract (maximum 100 words) and an organized list of references must also be double-spaced at the end.
Spreadsheet attachments must be either XLS, XLSX, CSV, ODS, OTS, or NUMBERS.
Photos and pictures must be in JPG, TIFF, GIF, PNG, or source format such as PSD or AI.
Literature references in the form ‘Weizmann [1997]’ are preferred to the less memorable ‘[5]’. Formulas must be reproducible in TEX. All else must be supplied in photocopy of camera-ready form with location in the text clearly indicated. Authors should retain originals of non-textual material and a copy of the text, as submissions will not be returned.

FUNDING INFORMATION

Details of all funding sources for the work in question should be given in a separate section entitled ‘Funding’. This should appear before the ‘Acknowledgements’ section with the following rules to be observed:

  • The beginning shall read: ‘This work was supported by …’
  • The complete official funding agency name should be given, i.e., ‘National Institutes of Health’, (vs. ‘NIH’)
  • Put grant numbers in brackets  ‘[grant number xxxx]’
  • Multiple grant numbers should be separated by a comma ‘[grant numbers xxxx, yyyy]’
  • Agencies should be separated by a semi-colon (plus ‘and’ before the last funding agency)

Individuals are to be specified for certain funding sources with the following text to be added after the relevant agency or grant number ‘to [author initials]’ like: ‘This research was supported by the National Institutes of Health [AA654321 to D.S., CC987654 to N.I.]; and the Sleep Deprivation Research Council [abcdef123456].

MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

You are responsible for complying with trade regulations of all and any domestic laws. You acknowledge that Journal Academica or its affiliate publications may not be viewed or exported or re-exported: (a) into (or to a resident or national of) any country subject to embargo; (b) to anyone on any list of Specially Designated Nationals or on Commerce Departments’ Denied Party or Entity List; and (c) you will not export or re-export Journal Academica or its affiliate publications to any prohibited country, person, end-user or entity specified by any Export Law.
